Question Power steering came back to life?

So, the weirdest thing happened. I own a 2004 honda s2000 44xxx miles and initially when i test drove it the power steering was fine. When I picked it up the eps light was on and i had not had power for the past month since owning it. I got a flat tire and i was asking my mechanic to run the code aswell to see what the problem was with the power steering. He said it was the steering rack and i was like crap.
BUT today as i was reversing out of my driveway i noticed the eps light wasn't on and my power steering came back! it was so random, but can anyone explain if this has happened to you?

I made a post about this earlier but i guess everything's fine?

Not sure what it is, except that I'm sure its not and never was the rack.

I imagine your mechanic tested nothing, and just assumed it was the rack. Most likely it was the eps sensor.

Best thing you can do is remove it, clean and regrease it, reassemble it. There is a diy instructions on it. I wouldn't try to get get a mechanic to do this. Thats not what they do. They take parts off and put them on.

They don't fix parts.
