Push start button not working
The guy I bought the car from said he had the push button fixed at a shop that also did a clutch bypass so I don’t need to step on the clutch pedal to start the car. Yesterday when I went to start the car the button wasn’t doing anything when I pressed it, all other electronics turned on as usual. I look under the dash and I see there is a white wire straight from the button into the starter cut relay, and there is a ground wire grounded to the body of the car to the left of the pedal area but that wire is just cut. Cruise control didn’t work before if that makes a difference. From what I can see the clutch interlock switch is still plugged in.
Does anyone know if that black ground wire is my problem and where it should be going to? Or what the problem could be here anything helps thanks.

Cruise control also has a pedal stop on the clutch pedal. (There are two on the clutch and one on the brake.) Maybe you can get some more information from the guy you bought the car from. I'm assuming you tried with the clutch depressed as well?
Hopefully the former owner hasn't buggered the car in additional ways...

Sounds likean idiot 'fixed' the start button. Guessing same idiot did a poor job with bypass, which is no longer bypassing. Also guessing plastic stopper broke at some point, so even with clutch pressed, not starting.
Bypass is stupid easy. Can be done with even a paper clip and zero tools. I'd search for images how to do it. Follow those to see if it'll start.
If it does, I'd then suggest a more permanent and more safe bypass. I did mine off brake pedal. There is a thread on how to do it.
Can also try push starting it. Rule out other issues.
