Default Previous owner cut door speaker connector...

So the previous owner decided in his infinite wisdom that it was the best idea to cut the connector from the door harness to the speaker. I need to see if someone can point me in the right direction on getting a new connector to replace what is in there now with OEM speakers. The previous owner also decided to use wood screws to attach the speakers to the door and the body kit to the bumper . I have tried to contact every person on S2Ki that is parting out an S to sell me the connectors but no one is willing to this particular piece. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure if you can buy the connector separately. The previous owner probably cut the connector to install an aftermarket speaker using the stock wiring. Try going to LINKto see if you can find the part individually. Maybe the connectors are universal throughout the car for various connections? Other than that I would say try going to a salvage yard and finding the part. OR MAYBE the connector is the same for another car(s) which could expand your search for the plug.

Another solution would be to cut the adapter off the stock speaker, and splice the wires directly - I assume the door wire is accessible, but just cut and stripped? It's easy enough to do, just make sure the polarity is right, and make sure each wire is securely connected and insulated.

It's sub-optimal, but only because you'll need to cut it again if you ever swap out the speakers at a later date.

Crimp some female spade connectors on the wires and slide them on the pins. Or replace the whole door harness...

As others said, don't waste your time trying to find the OEM connector. That sounds like a colossal waste of time. Crimp on some female spade connectors and plug them into the oem speaker done. As someone else said, why you'd want to put the oem speakers back in is beyond me, but don't waste your time trying to reinstall the oem connector.

I just wanted the OEM connector to make installs more fluid. I've always disliked cutting harnesses off. I will try to find the female spade connector.
