Default Problems installing Alpine 72BT No power

Hi guys,

I'm new to the forums and have just bought myself an 09 S2k.

I'm having problems fitting an Alpine 72BT head unit in the car.

The stock head unit works fine but when i connect the Alpine using an adapter it doesn't power-up.

I've also got the autolead stalk thing but even with a standard adapter on its own no power.

Plug the stock unit back in and that works.

I've tried 2 of the same head units and tried 2 adapters.

Anyone have any ideas ? ....I'm stumped.

Thanks
Ian

Is there a fuse on the Alpine unit itself? Have you checked to see what voltage you see on the ACC and main power pins? I'd say start checking the voltage first at the dash harness side and then at each point connecting to the deck. You'd need a good power, ground and ACC to have it come on
