proximity sensor..question
i recently had an alarm installed on my car with proximity sensor.. i have noticed that it is way too sensitive.. if the sensor sees a shadow.. the alarm will go off... my question is.. what do you guys have the sensitivity set at... and how do you change the setting
if its the 508d from dei, then you have two settings, an inner shield (alarm trigger) and an outer shield (warning trigger). On the unit there are two adjusting screws, one controls the inner and one controls the outer.

Try this - http://www.darksidesubs.com/alarm/508D.PDF
i put mine in the top portion of the center console ( ie. secret compartment) and basically set the perimeters to prewarn within about 1.5-2 feet away, and then only full alarm when you reach inside, very easy to install
