I know the front speaker is 6-1/2" dia but any one know the depth? I'm looking at replacing the front speakers but don't want to cut to fit. Thanks in advance.

 

Most (if not all) replacement speakers will need either a spacer or the basket cut. It is not a big deal either way.

 

I think its like 1.79" to the glass of the window, when down. You can check this youself by pulling the door panel off, pulling the speaker and basket, putting window down, then measuring.

I think Modifry (or is it MacGyver?) has a diagram on this. Check the link to his website off his signature.

Here's the info from the FAQ page.

"the rear depth of the space for speakers is 68 mm (2.68") on the top and 79 mm (3.11") on the bottom."
