Well the search button isn't working....so here it is....
i just purchased one and will be having it installed on saturday. My question is, do i need an imobalizer bypass to use the remote start? I know my friend in his celica didn't have to buy one, and the celica also has the factory imobalizer 2. But then my other friend with a celica but a different alarm needed one to install the remote start....
I bought one just incase, but the store had the universal imobalizer down for the S2k, and this one require me to keep a key inside the unit permanently. Do all units require this? or just the universal ones?

yes and yes, i have the same alarm,

 

directed has a transponder bypass for Hondas without needing the key and some other companies do to but I cannot tell how reliable they are vs. the actual key in the box.
