Default radar detector install

I am brand new to this forum, so hopefully this the the correct area for my question. I am attempting to install a Beltronics radar/laser detector. This unit was on a previous car I owned and I removed it when it was sold. Couple of issues I need some advice on.
1. The two front mounts consist of a laser receiver and a radar receiver. Where is the best point of entry through the firewall? Or elsewhere?

2. The rear mount is the laser receiver only. Where and how to run the cable for this one? It really looks difficult to avoid the top mechanism.

I do have the modules above mounted, just need some pointers getting the cables to the Interface module and Display.

You can get the sensor cables through the firewall via the grommet (pictured below) behind the battery. The rear sensor wire can be run under the plastic door sill/carpet, under the rear plastic panel (just remove the two screws holding it on), then around either the left or right side of the trunk carpet to the rear bumper.

Btw, you might consider mounting the radar detector module higher up as it doesn't affect detection range and prevents it from taking damage from pebbles, etc.

Thanks for getting back to me. Found the grommet behind the battery, but did'nt locate the entry inside the car. Assume it's somewhere above the heater blower motor.

I'm a little confused about the rear. I have run the cable into the trunk, but couldn't find good way to get it into the car up to the plastic door panel adjacent to the carpet. Remove the panels inside the trunk? Thanks, Tom

The other side of the firewall grommet is very hard to see so I use a stiff wire to guide cables through.

Yes, depending on whether you've run the wire on the drive or passenger side, you will need to pull back one of the two sides of the trunk carpet to finish running the wire. It should be easier to work on if you first pull off the spare tire cover (part #3), then remove either part #2 or part #6 to finish running and taping down the wire.

Thanks for the schematic. That will be a big help. I really appreciate your help. Tom
