I installed this today and there is no sound coming out of the player but it still luminates and everything else works fine....Am I suppose to hook up certain wires from the HU harness to the stock harness???? Sorry guys for the wierd questions and yes I did search and all I came up with was either check the mute button or the internal amp is not working which I hope is not the case .....

You need to plug all the stock wires into the headunit, including the antenna wire. You need to get a harness from Honda--->Alpine.

Some amps have this feature as well in case you miswire. Keeps the smoke on the inside!

Ummmm.......you have used the internet before right?.....searching with google works pretty good, but perhaps you have never used it before......

Manual at Crutchfield.....

or

Alpine tech support.....

Page 18 Describes the Function.....I don't have an alpine HU, and I'm going to eat breakfast instead of reading the manual for you....sorry.

If your internal amp is on.....you'll have to check wiring next, or the unit is broken. You may consider having someone bench test it.
