I'm in the process of installing the aem meth kit and need to extend some of the wires. I have 18 gauges speaker wire, will that work? The sheet says at least 14 awg wire.

 

18 gauge is smaller than 14 gauge, so you'll need new wire.

 

Don't use speaker wire it's "SPEAKER" wire for a reason it's for "SPEAKERS".

You can get wire at any local stereo shop tell them what you are doing

and they can get you what you need and they schould have the right

color as well.

 

^ thats kind of what i thought but i wasnt sure. ill have to stop at radio shack tomorrow.
