I am wanting to install rear speakers behind the seats on my 2002 AP1. Apparently Lucid used to do something but i guess he doesn't anymore. Does anyone know where i can get some panels for rear speakers???

 

Modify your stock panels to fit.

i havnt taken the panel off yet, any suggestion on size of speaker?

i dont understand why speakers in back behind seats? put good speakers in doors - sound deaden and good power, is more than enough.

 

I installed rear speakers into the panels as well. Here's a link to my thread from when I performed this work a few years ago:

No regrets about this setup. The speakers aren't in an ideal location because they're firing right at the backs of the seats but there's a noticeable difference. I keep my fader towards the front and the rears are only for fill. If I'm going to go on a long top down drive on the highway, I might move closer to a 50/50 split. For the cost of another set of speakers, it seems worthwhile to me. Added bonus that the car maintains is stock look because you almost never see the area behind the seats anyway.
