the S pods you guys speak of, they arent the honda oem ones
are they just them lil metal looking pieces that fit speakers, how hard is the install
do you have to jack up the seats to make them work, i would figure yes

but i like the idea because i am 6ft and looking to do some type of rear speakers

I don't like any thing sounding off right in the back of my head. It would be like waring a set of head phones, thats just me.

I agree with S2KPUDDYDAD. I don't like the S-Pods for that reason. They sit just way to close to your head. I've heard both and I would still rather have mine behind my seats. It sounds more balanced... well as much as it can be in a 2 seater convertible
The Pos just sound to bright to me... which means you have to detune them to sound correctly. or have a good tunable HU

The stock '02 front speakers are poly and have a small magnet. Can they fit in back? It's a thought since I plan to change out my front speakers. I have 4" lucids but am wondering about putting these 6-1/2 there instead.

Has any one tried. If so can they please upload pictures?

Thanks,

Chris

Here's a few pic's of S-Pods in Carbon Fiber. Due to the national shortage of CF there is currently up to a 2 week wait for CF, and they are priced at $320. Leather covered are still $240 for Black, Red, & Blue. Yellow are being closed out at $200 a set. The backing plates are real CF, while the speaker grille is covered with leather embossed in a CF pattern. Details can be seen at: www.streetsmarttechnologies.net

The name "S-Pod" is trademarked and only describes the product seen above. The Honda OEM solution are called headrest speakers...just to avoid confusion and aid in your search.
