I am interested in adding rear speakers using the Lucid Panels. Any luck with these and is it worth the hassle and expense to go from a 2 channel amp to a 4 channel amp to handle the extra load plus the added fade capability.
Frankly I am not really pleased with the quality of the Kenwood speakers and the spacial effect is not that great considering their placement behind the seats. It is nice although to turn them up while driving top down to get the sound closer to your ears.
I guess I am just an electronics junkie. I had to add the speakers because the port was unused on the radio.
"Rear speakers offer better lows and are usually better for music. Headrest speakers are better to hear vocals or talk radio especially with the top down. Headrest speakers are much more involved install and approximately double the price."
"These decks are designed to handle 4 channels (4 individual speakers). S2000s from the factory have half their deck output wasted by NOT using these (all model years). "
