Default remote initiated top down

Just curious if anyone has attempted to have a remote or button on a remote put the top down?

Obviously its infinitely simpler if the latches are already undone, it then seems as if then you would only need to have the "roof go down" situation put into the roof button when a button on a remote is hit.

The remote button would need to also, of course, let the roof button have power when the key is not on, as well as activate the "roof down"...

Just posting up here to see if anyone has attempted this or thought this through or has more information on this...

I will start researching, as I think that would be really cool, haha...

I thought about this, it would just be a simple few relays, but then i decided against it because i never leave it unlatched...

I would love to do this because I never latch my car. Please let us know what you find!

DEI part 528T will do it. Be careful how long you set it for. If set the timer for to long you may burn out the motor for the top.

you can use the aux channels for a dei alarm to do this. YOu simply need to hold the buttons down for the duration of the open or close cycle just like you do with the oem swtich.

Does the OEM switch on the center console supposed to light up when your lights are on at night?

Here you guys go...
Since I had remote start I do not have to do more relays to turn on the acc. or ignition wires.
