Could someone please recommend a basic remote start kit, how much to pay and where to order from?

The remote start kit is not for the s2k but for our Pontiac Vibe, automatic transmission. I'm not looking for an alarm kit, just something to start the car when it gets cold out.

ive been installing audiovox security and remote start systems for the last 5 years and they have a great track record. i also like DEI but they are pricey.

you can get the audiovox for relatively cheap for just the parts . do you plan on installing yourself? make sure you know what you are looking for under the dash.

you are gong to need a bypass for they key in addition to the actual remote start as well.

 

Avital makes a good setup as well. Can't think of the model off the top of my head though. Check around your local dealers and have them install it. NO company will warranty their product UNLESS it's installed by an authorized dealer. I doubt you really want to mess something up and be totally screwed in the long run.

 

avital is DEI. they own avital, viper, sidewinder ,clifford, hornet, wasp. all the same thing with a different name basically so they can impose their territorial restrictions on who gets to sell what name.
