I did have a chance to listen to it for a while, and the soundstage was pretty far forward in the vehicle, this is a good thing.

There are a couple major upsides to a component set. Typically they use better parts than coaxial. They also give you the option of mounting the tweeter in a place the gives you a better soundstage and imaging.

Depending on the vehicle acoustics and who you speak with, some people perfer the tweeter up on the dash to raise the soundstage, but others like to keep the tweeter within 8" of the mid.

In the S2000 having the tweeter down low and close to the mid sounded great.

In some vehicles, ive seen the tweeter down in the kick panel next to the clutch pedal and it sounds great.

The problem i see(actually hear) with this is when a passenger sits in my car, their leg usually rests up against the speaker, which blocks out a great deal of sound.
I guess if the tweeter is near the speaker, atleast the sound will be blocked out more equivalently than having the tweeter at full blast(unblocked due to higher mount), but the passenger speaker drowned out.
I guess I will try and create a new post and see other owners preferences in tweeter mount position. Thanks
