Default Room under passenger seat? Help with audio equipment!

Hey guys. I need to know exactly how much room is under the passenger seat? Has anyone tried to install a CD changer and been able to use bracets? I've seen a post on here about velcro strips but i'd rather go ahead and install it with bracets (if possible). Right now I have a small amp there but that will be removed and a new larger amp will go in the back.

Also has anyone installed JL Audio XR components? These are supposed to be awesome. Right now I have VR's but will be replacing with XR coaxials.

Last thing. I will be also upgrading the head unit to the Alpine 7995 and plan to install DJQube's mod. Will I lose the use of the remote after I have DJQube's mod installed? If I installed Lucid's harness for the aftermarket HU will I still be able to keep the functionality of the controls on the dash now and keep the remote?

I appreciate everyone's help!

as far as having room under passenger side I'm not sure, I have mine under the driver seat. I do have it with the Velcro, there is not enought room to use the brackets. The velcro works really good for me. As far the dash controls I have Lucid's DCI with an Alpine 7995. It works wonderful and yes you do keep the functionality of the stock remote if you wish to use it.

Hope that helps

Have you heard them in person? Go to Good Guys and take a listen...you'll probably be pretty disappointed...

I did hear them in person. I thought they were great, but all is relative. What would you recommend me take a listen to?

Also, does anyone know how much room there is under the drivers side seat? Thanks!

Depends how good the shops are around you...I've managed to hear Focal, MB Quart, Diamond, Boston, locally...

I tried putting an Alpine CHM-S630 changer under the passenger seat. It didn't fit. It would fit without the brackets under the drivers seat. I didn't try it with the brackets.

I ended up putting mine in the trunk.
