I have a friend back home that is selling his factory RSX Bose sub. I was thinking about picking it up but I need to know if it would work with the factory S head unit. I would try it out but I live across the ocean and he lives in Denver. Anyhow, has anyone tried this before? Or does anyone know how I could go about wiring it to make it work?

I gave it a shot but did not get the results I wanted. A lot of the postings are for a aftermarket head unit. I will try the search again with different key words.

Does anyone know if the 01 deck is different that the 02 deck? I think they are because the 02 had tweeters, but I am not certain.

Is the head unit different? Not sure but it is not relevant. Wiring at the connector is identical. The main speakers just get the full range signal and the tweeters are run in parallel with the mains. There is a filter capacitor in line with the tweeters to filter out low frequencies.
