Default rx8 gaugecluster?

Hey guys (and girls),

personally I think a classic sports car such as the Honda S2000 has to have a different gauges; I prefer analog gauges for revs etc. I saw a pic of the gaugecluster of a (don't start shouting immediately ) RX 8. I came to this idea because a lot of the aftermarket sellers don't have speedos or meters of apalling quality/appearance. Furthermore, I own a road car and not a racer, so I need my ODO and fuel meter. Another "problem" of our car is the high redline, which renders many tachs useless; the one on the RX8 redlines at 9,000 rpm.
I don't know whether or not this is possible and what's needed to make this conversion, so I thought let's pop the question.

Thanks in advance,
David

Ok so let me get this straight... you want to change your S2000 gauge cluster for an RX-8 one? Or are you just looking for an analog gauge setup? If that's all you want you can just make a guage cluster.

The Stack street legal cluster keeps the odometer, but I can't see the RX-8 electronics interfacing with the Honda setup.

I'm fond of the Aston Martin DB9 dash.

No, I like the looks of the rx8 gauges; pity it probably won't work.

pretty bad idea imo.

and comparing a dash/guage swap between a civic and an RSX is a poor comparison and pretty silly, since Honda and Acura are the same company, and thus probably use compatible electronics.

Mazda on the other hand isn't Honda related at all.
