Great photos Jonathan. Do you notice any additional wind blocking with the S-Pods, or does the tall blocker get all the credit?

Mark,

Appears to be an awesome product.
Does the leather obstruct any movement of the 5 1/4 woofer?
In general is there any flapping of the leather?

trung.

I didn't notice any extra wind blockage, but I already have the Majorhavic plastic wind blockers in the head rests. All I noticed was I could finally hear my stock stereo when I was at speed. What a concept, huh?

Trung,
No leather flapping, it's secured pretty well. No problem with the woofer either, but there could be with a tweeter that protrudes more than 1/4in.

Well, I did manage to get my S-Pods installed. (of course I still don't have my AMP installed so no update yet from me. I don;t think I will be able to work on my audio system until next week. I'll let you know how they sound.

It is a little hard to do a comparo, because I had not driven the car for about 3 weeks, but I did not notice much reduction in buffeting with the S-Pods installed. I was surpised by this. For me, it's not a big deal. As long as I can hear the stereo. (probably another 10-12 hours of work on this project but I AM on the downward side of the hill finally over the hump.)

I'm glad your ordeal is nearly over. I'll pass along anything you learn to other do-it-yourselfers. Do you have any pics yet?

The speakers on the pods are still on my memory stick. I just need to d/l them. I have yet to take "finished" pix.

Best advice for a DIY'er: Don't use Kenwood Excelon speakers. What a PITA!
