I'm not a sac area owner, but am definatly interested in these. Do you have any suggestions on speakers? I have my seats all the way back, and don't want to be hitting the grills of the speakers on my headrests.

Also you mentioned that the material on the pods is leather. How does it match up to the vinal/plastic of the roll-hoops? Or are you matching the interior leather?

How do you run the wiring? Do you have a good place to hide, or do you see the wires if you fold the seat forward?

I am very interested in this as I need some better sound over stock on my MY2003. This seems like it would be WAY better than the rear panels.

One more question: Will the factory door speakers fit in the pod?

Great questions!

With the S-Pods the speakers are mounted behind a grill which fits into the recessed area of the roll bar hoop. This way there is no interference with seat movement, unlike mounting behind the seat. I too keep my seat all the way back and there is no problem.

Yes I use very high quality leather, which is a 99.9% match to the black plastic roll bar hoops. The red leather I use is a 99.5% match, and blue is 99%. I doubt anyone would be un-happy with the materials, or color match.

The wires run down through the center of the hoop. No cutting/no drilling so that everything is completely hidden and, can be returned to stock.

You're right it is way better than cut rear panels. No interference, clear sound, no cutting, and added wind-blocking too! The only downside is the $$, but you get a lot of product for your money.

I think the pods could be modified to fit the factory speakers, but why would you want to? Any quality 5 1/4 speaker will sound much better than the factory's. I'm running a mid-quality Pioneer and it is several steps above Honda speakers. I'm sure Polk's or, Fosgates would be even better, and I've made provisions for mounting separates in the S-Pods.

I was just thinking about saving some bucks. If I spent $$ on new fronts, then I cheaped out of the rears until I saved up some more $$.

C'mon guys. Tell me I wasn't the only one thinking this!?

You could always get a lower quality 5and1/4 until you could get better ones for the pods. I've heard the pods and they are incredible.

No doubt they sound great. I can only imagine after all the raving people have done over the "other" rear speaker solution. I would hate to buy speakers more than once.

I'll probably end up just waiting on the install until I get everything purchased.

I spent under $100 for my rears and am happy with the quality for the reasonable price. Wish I could demo them for ya, but you're just a little to far away for that!

Road trip!

Ordered my HU and Amp last night. Now I need to find some speakers, and get my remote out to DJ Qube.

I am just waiting to assemble everything in one place so I only have to tear the car apart once.

That's great, when will you be ready for me to send your set of S-Pods out? I could on Fri, or next week if you like.
