No issues at all w/ mine.

My only real neg. feedback IMO is that between the main control knob and the small fonts, it can take more of your attention than ideal to search for music. Otherwise, it's a great unit, and includes so many things like BT, time alignment, EQ, etc. that Alpine charges extra for along w/ the hassle of more wires and boxes to stuff.

I believe there's a slightly updated model that has Pandora built in, so that's probably a worthy upgrade if you want to connect to an iPhone.

I love my S300 so far, too. You can't go wrong with either, though if you want BT, go with the Sony. Along with a DCI, there really isn't much room to add even more boxes behind the radio.

how is it holding up for you guys? any issues with the tray?

would you buy it again???

I ordered a new Modifry harness (with the extra red lead- which is a must have for a easy installation) and a sony DCI from Bob
back around xmas time.

while watching a two and a half rerun.. i wired up the new sony harness, and the new Modifry harness

everything is super easy.. the only issue I had was the two Left and Right metal brackets (there's two nipples on them to aid with alignment)
fine for the stock and the alpine unit, but the nipples didn't like the sony deck. (first thought about new longer screws, but instead
took a chisel and took off the two nipples)

the sound is actually better than the alpine CDA-117 with the type R components!! it's not earbleading like with the alpine deck (regardless of the presets on the sony deck)

the knob/joystick thing is going to take a while to get used to, but i found the remote is way easier/faster to get operate the deck

just have to crack the manual open to see how to marry the bluetooth from the iphone4 to the deck now
