Setup
ok, first off please don't ignore me because I have tried searching, but am more confused than ever on what to do since there are so many posts.
I have an Alpine 7894 headunit- is this compatable w/ dash controls? 2- I have a set of Focal 165V2's and will install them powered by an Alpine MRV-F540 amp. This is a 4 channel, can I also power a sub from this? Or do I need to get another amp? If not what kind of amp will I need to power the components and a sub. Or is it better to just get an entirely new amp. I'm looking for a 10" any suggestions. I listen to a mix or jazz, rock, pop, not much rap. I am looking for clarity, so I can turn it up with the top down, not loud bass. I'm looking to fit the amp in the spare tire area and have the sub in the corner on the passenger side so I can use as much trunk space as possible. Good idea or bad? Any pics?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. And sorry for all the questions, I know there are a lot posted (besides mine).

You gave me a lot to look up, so while I think my info is correct, if I have a wattage figure or whatnot off somewhere, feel free to correct me.

You will have to invert the mute signal into the 7894. This command is a hard wired signal from your dash into the HU. It just needs a small relay to do the trick. I have pictures on my ggallery of most of the installation of a 7894 I did two years ago.
