also, i've had to turn my volume up to full (stock radio) to here it when driving in excess of 55 mph. anyone else have volume issues? I've placed the tuner in a variety of places and it doesn't seem to change this problem.
May seem silly but did you turn the volume all the way up on the SIRIUS?

geez. page 46 of the manual. it's nested two menus down and not even mentioned in the user guide table of contents.

i don't feel QUITE as stupid now.

still interested in anyone's creative solutions for mounting the antena outside the car.

Figured it out on accident, while messing with it when I first got it, glad I could help.

When I added my XM reciever I found I didn't like pluging the addapter into the outlet between the seats so I installed another addapter wired to the radio supply (the perminate one) and installed it under the dash on the passenger side. This wire was not used as I had installed a new power wire for the HU from the battery.

I plan on getting Sirius soon and I was wondering if the Starmate unit has an aux port for a rca cable to plug into it for direct connection to a car's stereo, without relying on a wireless signal?

I ask this because my Harman/Kardon drive+play has an additional aux input for an external device.
