Sirius Failure
So, Sirius -- the satellite radio provider who was losing customers, money and headed to failure -- managed to complete the take over of XM -- the satellite radio provider with growing customers, higher profits and a success. And naturally, Sirius has propagated is losing station line-up to XM. Sadly, after 5yrs of having great radio, I'm now paying for crappy programming I can get for free on the air waves. I am so canceling my subscription and just going to use Pandora on my 3g iPhone from now on.
XM Lucy Program Director Bill Hutton says it all in his fairwell:

i just got sirius for the first time with my new stereo install. with >100gb of music i wouldn't have thought i would ever try it but i am glad i did.
local radio (norcal) usually sucks (and reception is intolerable) so for music variety sirius seems cool, so far. what's not to like unless there was a certain talk show you liked? i thought xm was just sports and talk???

I have a portable XM radio and just got Sirius installed on the S. I must say reception sucks on sirius. I thought a hardwired system would be better than my portable but I was wrong. I live in Los Angeles and there are parts in downtown where Sirius just dies, but my XM still plays on!!
