Default Sirius install

I was just wondering i got the sirius raido for the alpine head unit the hard wire one, i just want to make sure i have this right for the install. the best spot to put this is under the pasanger seat, and can put the atena for it on the front dash. the only thing i am not sure of is the power for it, do i hook this up directly to the battery or is there another way? thanks.

I have no experience with the alpine unit. I can tell you however that my Kenwood "hard-wired" unit only requires that I connect it to the head unit. There is no separate power source required. I would think that since alpine is typically known for being higher quality that it would function the same way. Is the sirius tuner a universal type? As for where to wire the power from it all depends on the size wire needed. Is this a remote wire (accessory powered) or a constant 12V? Perhaps a model number for the HU and the receiver could gets us a little further. If it requires a remote wire then you can jumper on to the power accessory outlet on the console. If the wire required is larger than 12AWG (i.e. 10, 8, 6, etc.) then you will need to go straight to the battery.

How did you mount the turner under the seat? Did you drilled any hole? Can you mounted with velcro?
