Some very nice component speakers
Alright.. so like the title says, these two I think is what I have it narrowed down too. I would appreciate some comments on this post actually as to recommendations. I don't really know a lot of people that are audiophiles. So as some may know from recent posts, I just installed the Alpine KTP-445U (90 watts RMS) and some Pioneer TS-D1720C component speakers.
Pioneer speakers - Here
Those handle 60 watts RMS and I am getting some popping when the base hits even with my HPF set on 63. So I want something that can handle a little more power I guess, no more tweeter popping or having a hiss in the speakers waiting for the next track to play.
So I have it narrowed down to 2... (I think
)
Kicker QS652 - Here
MB Quart QS216 - Here
What I want - I want a component set that hits HARD, sounds CLEAR, and doesn't hurt my ears from the tweets being harsh. I just want to feel it, you know, without running a sub yet, that may be later on down the road with the footwell. But right now I just want to enjoy some mids and highs alone. But most of all I want a speaker that will not crackle or pop from 70-80hz on down. I want my HPF to be off, or set on 50 atleast and to pack a punch for when the kick drum comes in on songs. anything is appreciated. I would like to place my order today and will take into mind any other speaker which is offered.
I'm also going to sound deaden the doors when these speakers come in as well.

Morel Tempo. I prefer a rich sound rather than making my ears bleed. They do tend to take some power though. I'm so surprised by them that I find myself stuck on the fence about putting a sub in or not. So far I haven't put any mats in the doors but they will go in soon. I just need to carve out some time to do that and install my alarm. I think the two you have posted aren't bad either. I feel they are for different purposes. Did you run through the reviews on amazon and other sound forums?
Also, is your amp 45x2? or 90x2? big difference when it comes to running speakers.

Polk DB!! The Polks are 100 rms and pack a punch in the base. I currently have a component set on an aftermarket radio with no amp. They are top of the line as far as brand goes and have an all around full sound. I've installed them in so many cars and they always deliver. I'm not familiar with the ones you posted but thought I'd give my share.
Good Luck with the install!!
