Default Something really nice from Clarion. The DXZ775USB

I saw this on the Clarion site and got really interested.
http://www.clarion.com/us/en/products/2007...5294998433.html
It has USB input (main reason im getting it)
6 volt input
bluetooth capable with optional module
24 bit d/a converter (dont know how much of a difference this makes)
time alignemnt

and a bunch of other crap.

This can be bought for approix$ 220-$250 and for the price it seems the be the best HU with input for some music other than ipod (although it has that too).

What do you guys think?

Well, it's ugly as hell for one...It also looks uber-complicated to use...

but the fact that it lets you use your USB thumb drive instead of a CD makes up for that in spades IMO.. Are there any other receivers that offer this?

It has a CD player too and yes there are dozens of other HU's that have the USB feature. This one seems to have the best sound quality features as opposed to others.

Sound quality wise, my old Clarion proaudio deck was the best one I have ever owned. I would assume some of this technology has trickled down into their newer units.

Looks prehistoric. Nothing about it that is really new or exciting. Never used it, but I dont think they are giving me a reason to switch from alpine.
