yeah, I've seen that before. Kind of neat, but defeats the purpose. The only way I can see this being useful is for radios that only have wireless remotes and for cars that don't have dash controls like the stook. I guess it could be used for the extra functions, but if you have the sony remote, you probably have a sony unit so just hook it up directly.

I've actually stopped in my design for the direct hookup because I'm going to be in Hawaii on business for 3 months without my car!! So, hopefully someone will look at my schematic for the sony remote and finish the job. BTW, if anyone is interested and knows electronics, I'd be glad to assist you. If no one completes it by the time I get back, I'll probably start working on it again.

I'm going to be getting back to my microcontroller version this week. I just ordered some digital pots to use for the output so, only a couple of weeks away.
