I know you fixed it, but I accidentally blew the fuse that powers the dash controls when I still had my stock stereo. The dash controls are on the same circuit as the power outlet. When that fuse is blown, the stereo works, but no sound comes out.

update::: dealer voided my radio warranty because i cut off the wiring harness and replaced it in order to add the wires for 2 back speakers. Tried all the fuses related to radio and acc. does anyone know if theres a fuse inside the radio or something to that extent that makes the raiod not put out sound, the dealer wants $65 an hour to find the cause and i just want them to swap a head unit to prove that the old one malfunctioned

if not maybe someone can help me out w/ their old stock radio although i plan to replace it in a few weeks with a new kenwood 8017

This will sound like a pain but it sounds like you have a short. If you did a second set you know how to pull the head. Pull it and see where the sound is (i.e. play with balance/fader/ etc.) My opinion is the bass is just a coincidence timing thing. Check your wiring job (IMHO).
