There's Second Skin...
There's also other stuff you can do...I found out a couple weeks ago that I should have searched for "Rattle" instead of deadening...

define expensive and not expensive?
i've seen 100 sq/ft of second skin for about $120, ram-mat for about $100.
if you want really cheap, partsexpress sells 8x10 sheets of asphalt deadening for speaker building $1.50 a sheet. i've used this before, it tends to stink (smells like ashphalt), i'd use it in the trunk, but not the doors. they also have some odorless vinyl sheets too $2.50 a sheet. both work well but if you need a lot, a larger role might make more sense.

Dynamat is not a sound deadening product. It is a damping mat to reduce vibration. To deaden sound, you must first determine if it is high or low frequency. Each requires a different material. Dense material for low frequency, usually with a vinyl or metal decoupling layer, and acoustic foam for the higher frequencies. Since we are dealing with small amounts here, you have two choices. Look up soundproofing in the yellow pages, and call a supplier to see who he sells to in your area, and go buy a little bit.
And, or, go find an aircraft upholstery shop, prevalent around airports. Most of them use a lot of various kinds of damping and soundproofing material to make small planes and jets tolerable. I have always found the owners of the shops willing to help with a car project, just because it is so different. If you need more specific help, email me and I'll try to help.
