Default Use Sound Deadening material?

as i'm getting closer to my install i'm wondering if any of you have used some sort of sound deadening material in your cars? I'm thinking of lining the truck with it and the doors, as long as i have everything torn apart already. So, who's done it and how much of a difference did it make?

from what i've heard, it's not worth it. just added weight.
besides, do you really want to drown out the 9K sound from the engine? i'd go with dampening the trunk.

Depends on the quality of your equipment. I feel that it is over kill for just a HU and speaker swap, I believe that you are going rather large in your system and I would suggest it very highly. From what you have posted as your subs you will get rattle within the trunk as well as into the cabin in some areas. I tried a before and after with my door speakers and found that it does help keep some of the sound in the car. Well if you need any specific info on a specific rattle give me a PM. I spent a weekend going through the car tracing down rattles and making sure everything sounded about right.
