^Sorry don't think I want to deal with that. Would rather just buy a brand new one. Thanks though.

I havent had a chance to do testing or anything really. Looks like the amp is not turning on now.

Last night it turned on fine and music worked great. Then after about 5 minutes it slowly got quieter and then cut out and wouldn't come back on. hasn't since.
I know I gotta test things but just wondering if that sounds like anything in particular still.

It sounds like an electrical problem.

Ok so looked at the amp now and not powering on at all anymore it looks like.
I checked all the power lines and ground are good.
Would it most likely be the fuse off the battery then? If so where would I get another one of those and what type of fuse is it?
Sorry I am really clueless when it comes to car stereo!

Post some pics.

With visuals we can see if anything is hooked up wrong.

I would check all fuses. There should be a fuse on the amp itself also.

crutchfield should carry fuses.

none of this means your amp is fried.. your head unit could be the problem and its not turning the amp on.. check for power at your amp where it say remote line ( prob a little blue wire)

i had this problem too .. but honeslty before i started checking things it worked before i got around to it.. check and make sure none of your wires are pinched, cut, or even broken.

by what your saying all of your speaker in the whole car are wired into the amp?

there are to many possible thing to haev gone wrong to cause this to happen.. you have to just start somewhere and narrrow things down. if you dont know how to use a multi meter get some help by someone who does.

if a fuse it blown just go to radio shack.

A dmm us really essential to properly diagnose the troublesome component.

Alright guys well guess I am kinda an idiot lol.
I had checked the fuse off the battery when it first started happening. Then got worse and finally completely stopped and I didn't check that fuse again.
Well it got burned out I guess. Was a 120 amp fuse. Had it since I had the system in my car. Probably 2.5 years or so.
I went to bestbuy and only had an 80 amp fuse. I bought that and did a 3 hour round trip and working fine still.
Weird the fuse first time I checked it seemed fine and then was burned out right after I guess.
Oh well at least it works now and I only had to spend $9.99 for a couple of fuses!
Thanks for all the help guys!
