I have read many of the speaker threads. Does anyone know what is the max speaker depth in inches you can have before hitting the window? I am considering a pair of Polk audio MOMO465's, but they have a depth of 2 13/16. Will they fit? Help! GaToR

Barry, thanks for the information. I have already read this thread, and I was wondering... Has anyone installed a set of Polk Audio momo 465's. They are really deep with a depth of 2 13/16 inches? I hate to buy them before knowing if they will fit. I would have a custom installer do the work, but the diagram on the attached thread doesn't give me all the information I am looking for. Help GaToR

Gator,

What other info do you need to know? The diagram on my page shows the maximum depth to the window with the rear of the basket cut out, which is what I believe you are looking for.

Sorry to be difficult. It appears from your diagram that you have about 55mm or approx 2 inches from the back of the basket before you hit the window. Would you agree? thanks GaToR

The 53mm measurement is basically from the top part of the metal door frame to the tightest portion of where the window sits. The speaker basket edge adds about another inch or so to the mounting depth. It may be tight, but add up everything and check it against your own (all stooks vary by a couple of mm or two).
