Default will 2.75" depth components fit?

my PPI 365CS woofer blew on one side and i'm looking to replace it. currently, the PPI woofer has 2.5" depth and i cut out the plastic basket so it would fit.

the HAT's and ID CTX65CS are 2.75" depth. does anyone know if this will fit w/o modifications?

also, know anyone local (south bay) who sells Image Dynamic audio for me to hear?

If the depth is too much to where it hits the window; you can use a speaker ring to push the speaker forward. Lucid used to make these for the S2K; but you can easily make one out of MDF or plexiglass. I have the Lucid speaker rings & they are around 1/4" in thickness. The speaker still clears the door panels with these in place & the speaker magnet is clear of the window path.

did you place the speaker rings on top of the oem basket? or directly onto the door panel? i'm assuming if the oem basket acts like the ring providing some reduction in depth.

You need to remove the OEM basket when upgrading speakers; the new speakers wont fit. You can modify it as well if you choose to go that path. The rings are placed directly on the door.

Where there's a will there's a way.
I'd worry less about fitment and more about choosing the specific speakers you want.
