speakers pop when turn off
when i turn off my headunit, there's always a small pop sound from speakers.
i remember reading somewhere you could eliminate the pop sound by adding diode and capacitor between the EQ and the amp
Does the same delay circuit work for headunit and amp and no EQ?
Thanks!

usually there are two factors this turn off noise, either you amp doesnt surpress it well with its internal circuitry, or your ground is not very good.
uusally the latter that cause a significant pop.
grounding essentials:
1. as short of a ground wire as you can get.
2. find something solid to ground into, like the floor, not like a hinge that comes off a panel that is attafched to the floor with a screw.
3. scrap off the paint at the grounding point to get the bare metal
4. use the same guage ground wire as your power wire
5. use a good ring terminal, gold plated preferred, make sure the terminal is of the right size and fits corectly.
6. use a common ground, dont ground your stuff at different spots, if you have more htan one component, use a distribution block and ground it all at one point.
see if that helps, also of course, check all your power and ground connections at the amp.

thanks for the tip!
The amp is ground to the chasis in the trunk latch area.

(thanks todd for the writeup, very helpful!)
-Yes i've scrapped off the paint to bare metal for the ground.
-I use lightning amp installation kit so it comes with 4 awg power and ground wire, with ring terminal. The ground wire is around 1.5 ft long.
- the problem could be the ground for head unit. the ground wire is splitted to mute relay, pac swi-3 and the head. and it's attached to the center console head unit mounting bracket
btw i'm using cadence z4000 amp, jvc sh99 head, infinity 605cs comp and polk ex365 for rear. no other components
