in australia, all 01+ s2k have the 8 disc stacker mounted in the secret compartment. the previous 2 years was a 6 disc stacker mounted in the boot on a metal bracket. which was kinda dumb as it took away from what little storage there was

This is very interesting and I don't want to detract from your problem, but any chance you got a pic?

Hey Blacks2k, i also had my changer in the secret compartment, but removed it when i did my ipod car kit install.
There was a link i found on this site ages ago about install instructions for the CD changer mounted in the SC. but the search function aint workin!!!

from memory i just undid the screws that hold the bracket in place and used a bit of force to get it out.

check the search function if it gets up and going, as for the stuck CD, I can't help you there.

Chris.

chris, what about the lid though. how do u get it off without breaking hte hinges.
the lid im referring to is where the wind deflector sits on. once u open it and flip it up, it locks into place. then when i unscrew teh 4 screws, one side of the stacker is jammed on the hinge, thus stopping me from pulling it out. according to ur pic, it looks like u took teh lid off. i havent advaced that far yet

upon closer inspection, i see that ur stacker slides straight out. my one has a funny shape on teh passenger side bracket which makes it "lock" under that hinge. meaning the brackets on teh stacker r not similar in shape. weird
