Stock '04 head unit ate my cd!
Threw my current favorite cd in my brand spanking new '04, and mid-song it stopped, displayed ERR and won't eject. Actually, it goes as far as to not display the green dot after I push eject (indicating it has no CD) but doesn't eject it!
Any ideas? Yes, I'm heading to the dealership to see about it from their perspective, but thought someone may have some ideas before I go there. I've had three other S2K's and never had this problem...
thanks guys!!!

bah -- CD players have done this for years. it's probably an early on failure of either the motor or an internal sensor...
get them to give you a new CD player, then take a screwdriver and hammer
to the old one and carefully open it up to get your CD out....

yeah, stopped by the dealer & they're ordering me another cd player, no hassles
the only issue is that since it's so early in the production run it will likely take a few weeks to get the new radio in, since the first ones are slated for the new cars on the production line...
no problem, I still have the radio...
and yeah, I'm planning on bringing my own hammer for gettin my fav cd out myself!
