Default Stock MY02 door speaker fading in and out

not sure what's going on but the passenger side door speaker fades in and out of power. not very frequent in interval. when i fade/balance it out to the speaker itself, you can't hear anything, but the lil' treble speaker up on the door.

before i go pull out the radio (hassle), anyone know what's up? all i have done to the stock radio is lucid's rear speaker mod.

many thx,

is it slowly fading in and out or is it on one moment and off the next?

and i wouldn't pull the radio first, i'd pull the door and check for a loose connection or bad wire on the 6.5" driver.

pjk3, it's more like one moment on and off the next. off more than on.

thx Subaru man.

i've never pulled the door out. what a freakin' pain in the ass/consumption of time.

Loose connection or short. If it's just the midrange, more than likely a connection in the door between the crossover and the midrange.

See my webpage for instructtions on pulling the door panel off....I have a MY2000, so I don't have any pics of the speaker connections themselves, but just look for obvious things once you get in there.
