Default Storage space in place of stock Head Unit?

Hey all,

the PO of my S put an in dash pioneer headunit and nav in the car and now I have an open space where the stock head unit used to be. It would be a perfect place for me to add some much needed storage space.

before I go try and build something custom, is there a vendor out there that sells a lined box the exact size of the space that I could just slide in there?

thanks

Not sure of any aftermarket solution, but for your custom solution, how about using a frame of an old HU and put some liner inside, should be a perfect fit?

I ended up buying a Universal DIN pocket from Crutchfield:

I will let you know how it works out.

depending on what model ur navi is, you may or may not need to have the navi disc in the unit when using navigation (does not apply to avic n1/z1/z2 bc of hard drive), if it does require u to use the disc then I would have another aftermarket cd player in the stock location so i could listen to music and utilize the navi/dvd at the same time...
