Default Strange problem with audio controls

Three days ago my audio controls (the controls on the left side of the wheel) started to act funny. Half the time I press the volume down button the channel will change. Other times I will press the mode button and the volume will change. My car is a bone stock MY2000. All of the radio knobs and buttons work as usual. I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this?

The dash switches are tied to a resistor network that's part of a voltage divider circuit. The voltage output from this circuit is connected to the head unit, which reads the level and determines which button has been pressed. Obviously, the voltage on this line is out of whack. It could be a problem/short in the dash control circuit, a bad A/D channel in the head unit reading that voltage level, a general battery/alternator voltage problem, or a bad ground at any point in between.

I also had this, but mine was due to the 3.5mm jack plug from my Alpine Dash Interface KCE-965B not being fully inserted into the HU Alpine 9815.

Might be worth checking (if you have something similar)

Thanks for the suggestions. When I get a chance I'm going to pull the head unit to check for a loose connection.
