If I remember correctly Sondra was working on one that occupied the cavity beside the fuel tank.

I removed the spare tire and buildt a box to hold a 12" Bass speaker which fits in where spare tire was. I can easily pull it out and set in trunk and replace spare tire for road trips. Will duplicate box for $65 if you are interested. Sounds are great.

not the cavity beside the fuel tank, rather the seemingly useless space behind the passenger side taillight. The person who designed this enclosure has an appointment with the president of JL Audio to talk about producing this design of enclosure soon. I highly recommend holding off a few weeks until you see what shakes out of this...

Please email me when you have questions or comments about this. I don't see threads in this category unless someone emails me about them and tells me I need to look!

Nice. A JL Box would be great! After seeing pictures of that factory Honda Sub, and learning it was only 40watts rms I was begining to get a bit worried. Keep us updated!

I had a professional custom installer cast, and make a custom sub box to go in the trunk on the passenger side in the space in front of the taillight. It looks GREAT!!!

It fits perfectly in the cubby hole and looks like it came with the car. We went with the largest sub that would fit and give good sound which was a JL Audio 8W3. Tried a 10W3, but couldnt get the truck lid closed for the grill

Somebody was meantioning using the space behind the drivers seat in the fuel fill area but if you do that, there will be no place besides the truck to put a decent size amp to drive the sub!
