Subs/Midbass in the rear panels?
Does anyone know of a small sub or a good midbass that will fit in the rear panels. I've read somewhere that the magnet has to be less than 3.25 to fit. JL has a 6" sub but it's magnet is over 4." Kicker makes a 6" midbass that might clear but I've never liked Kickers. (not trying to turn this into kicker thread, just personal preference)
Anyone have any experience with this or suggestions?..

Space is so limited behind the seats that I doubt you can fit even a small sub in there. Not saying it can't be done. "Anything" can be done; there's just not that much depth back there.
My suggestion- install your sub in the trunk.

Hmmm. Recently I was wondering what a couple of the 4" Bose (from the RSX) drivers mounted into the rear panels would sound like. I would imagine they could be run in series to get the impedance up. I don't know how they would respond to such a large enclosure, though.
It sure would be nice to be able to get the bass driver into the cabin and I think the magnet on the 4" Bose driver would fit.

The RSX Bose sub is more like 5 1/2". I have one in the spare-tire area, I also have 5 1/4" coax speakers on rear panels, I will find time to replace one 5 1/4" Coax with the Bose sub to see how it sounds on the rear panel.
