Default Subwoofer solutions

I want to put a sub in my S2K, but not in the trunk. Anybody have any solutions for this? I've heard rumors of an OEM sub being made by Honda soon- or what about getting a fiberglass enclosure behind the passengers seat?

Your only other real option is to remove the spare tire and put a box in there. There's no room anywhere else.

You could cut a hole in the floor and mount them under the seats...

Maybe a 'doable' technically on an SUV, but with 5 inches max of ground clearance in the s2k, that first speed bump would suck!

I'm sure you could fit an 8" in the passenger footwell, it's been done in countless cars before. I was thinking about that since it keeps the sound stage correct... there's a specific pickup that i'm thinking of that has one 8" solobaric installed in that location and was in a few magazines... but i can't remember the name or anything

One of our SoCal members, dinnyin, put a sub in the passenger footwell. You might want to search for his username and sub and you'll find the thread on it.

As far as the footwell goes...if you put on in there (8 or 10 in) how much legroom are you sacrificing for the passenger? Is it reasonable, or is it now a one man car?
