PJK3,
We are all in agreement. The XM Commander display will not be used when using the Blitzsafe adapter. This is currently the only way to get XM for Alpine. When they make it.

Terk is just a distributor for the XM Commander product. They do not make it, XM does. They however are going to release a direct connect tuner for Alpine at the end of the year. They did show it at CES.

Blitzsafe still is not selling the adapter. It is still in R&D and won't be ready for release for 1 to 3 months.

According to XM, they have no intention of releasing an XM tuner product by itself. The XM Commander is our only choice unless we wait for Terk to start making there direct connect unit.

So basically, us Alpine owners are SOL until these companies get there Sh** together and make some equipment.

In conclusion, screw XM and lets get back to

here's something interesting. I got a Crutchfield catalog today, and they have a Blitzsafe interface advertised in there to connect an Alpine CD changer to any factory HU. So they must have an Ai-Net interface thing figured out now.

I'll have to re-read it, but it was an Ai-Net interface. Talked about being compatable with factory CD changer controls without paying the high price of a factory changer.

I'm pretty sure there was no FM modulation involved.

Or if there was, the controls were still handled by the factory HU.
