I've been looking to get some speakers and i was wondering what would you guys get. The alpine Type R or alpine Type X speakers? This is components for the door.

 

Well, the type Xs are Alpine's flagship, so obviously, they would be superior to the R's. However, that doesnt mean they will sound better in your car. The type Rs are very nice, and with a good amp/headunit, you should be plenty pleased.

 

i have the type-x there great very happy with them i just installed the new headunit alpine 9885 but with out a good amp you won't be fully satisfied

 

There are a set of CDT EuroSport 6.5" speakers for sale in the For Sale forum for $225. These retail for close to $500 new. VERY nice speakers, and cheaper than a new set of Alpine Type X's. I am currently waiting on my Type X's to arrive...

Just a note! The type-x Pros are comming out within two months!! Supposedly going to be very nice sounding components and they are going to run $650ish for the two way.

 

Ehhh...if they are that good, then they are a waste in the s2000 anyways.
