I'm thinking about going with a 5 channel mcintosh amp and some focal k2's. Planning on running 4 channels to the front and 1 for the sub. Do you think this is overkill? Note I am getting a good deal on the mcintosh amps.

 

my opinion:

is mcintosh overkill?
maybe.
this isn't the best car to demo high end equipment in, that's for sure. you'd probably want to invest in some sound deadening to reduce the loss in dynamic range or you'd lose a lot of the benefit of the high end, clean power.

would I do it?
assuming the price is right, of course!
