Top down without the parking brake?
I personally see no need for a timer. I'm really the only person who drives my car. I'm comfortable and willing to accept responsibility if I forget to turn the window switch back on AND try to bring the top back up at 50mph!
As for fooling Honda techs, good luck... Techincally you could set this up plug and play so that if you had any problems you could get it back to factory, but I'm not too worried about that. I don't plan to abuse this mod... just use it responsibly!

I found a suitable relay in my garage and planned to test it last night, but then I realized I still have the hardtop on my car. Until I get the hoist installed in my garage, I don't have anywhere to store the top -- with luck, I'll get the hoist installed tonight and get the hardtop off so I can do some wire surgery.
See -- I knew you guys would get to make fun of me! It wasn't an "oh my god -- there's a hardtop on my car. How did that get there?" kind of realization. It happened more like this: walk back into the garage with wires, relays and tools, then I look at the car -- Oh sh!t, I still have the HT on. Even if I get the wiring done, I can't test until I take it off. I'm stupid!!!
Ok... spent some time testing stuff out tonight -- after getting that pesky hardtop off the car!
I haven't found a good location to tap the red/white wire yet -- I think I can see it, but I need to be able to work with the car outside the garage so I can open the door fully and have room to get under there. I did manage to figure out that my instructions are incorrect for the e-brake bypass. You'll need to connect the GREEN/WHITE wire on the left connector (connector 'A') to ground. Cutting it won't do the trick. You need to connect it to ground to bypass the e-brake. If it decides to quit raining for tomorrow and I can find a good spot to splice into that stinking red/white wire, I should be able to get a couple of relays wired up and test it out.
