Rick is working on a Nuvi mount which takes the place of the driver's side sunvisor, but that's still at least a few months away.

That would be cool, Especially if the nuvi was still easily removeable. Dont want it to sit in there in the winters etc...

ProClip makes a nice generic device holder that clips onto the center console near the stick. I use it with my SX66 PPC phone... which I use TomTom and a BT GPS receiver... which works well and is extremely portable. The phone sits to the left of the shifter and pretty much is out of the way while shifting.

Might be another option for mounting the Nuvi.

This sounds cool. Can you post a picture of your setup?

I have had mine in a couple of positions, i hove found on the door side to be the handiest. and easier to hide the cables.

I've had a Garmin Model 2730 for a couple of months and am happy with it.

I've been using it in both my S2k and our Honda Van using the "beanbag" mount which I don't like [It looks funky and slides around if you're doing corners a tad hot] but which I'm using until I decide, finally, on a permanent setup.

See the site below for some other mounts that are available.

gah why doesn't anyone mount their navi's on the left of the steering wheel. Seems like a much better location to me and doesn't look so out of place. I hate the look of non integrated units.

The left side of the dash is an ideal place for a dash-top addition like gps, however i'm right-handed and have trouble entering addresses on the small keyboard with my left hand, thus it goes on the right. It doesn't look much worse on the right.

I don't use the Nuvi every day anyway. The mount isn't very noticable alone.

I'd love to put in an in-dash Eclipse, like I had in my Boxster, but I don't want a long invasive install.
