Default V1 owners...

Hey guys ive just converted to the V1 cult and i just plugged it in using my telphone cord i had hardwired to the x50. I was wondering if it is possible to potentially "fry" your radar if it is connected wrong or what not. This came to my attention beacause as i readjusted it today it was quite hot. Do your V1s get pretty warm?

Mine get's super hot. It's got to be able to handle some heat since it's designed to go on to the windshield on a car, which means 140++ degrees under direct sunlight in an enclosed car when parked during a summer heat wave.

I've always wondered if heat would ever become a problem as well. But the damn thing is black?!

If its been in the window all day long it gets REAL hot. In the S I use the visor mount and it seems to work pretty well and not get as hot.

Ditto. It gets very hot when place on the windshield. Don't worry about this. I've had mine for over 4 years and its magnesium case can take it!
